{"id":369,"date":"2024-11-30T22:34:43","date_gmt":"2024-12-01T02:34:43","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/chaleurshootingclub.com\/?p=369"},"modified":"2025-11-07T14:07:45","modified_gmt":"2025-11-07T18:07:45","slug":"faq","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/chaleurshootingclub.com\/fr_ca\/faq\/","title":{"rendered":"FAQ"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>Things All Members Should Know<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>CLUB INFORMATION<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The Club was founded in 1984.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>In 1992 the club moved to its present site In Madran, NB. <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The club was re-incorporated December of 2015 as&nbsp;the&nbsp;CLUB DE TIR CHALEUR SHOOTING CLUB INC.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Our Mission Statement is to meet and exceed all government regulations and firearm safety protocols.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>e-mail: club-chaleur [@] outlook [.] com<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Our mailing address is:<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p class=\"is-style-default\">Club de Tir Chaleur Shooting Club Inc.<br>PO Box 20059 RPO Plaza<br>Bathurst, NB E2A 4V7<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>RANGE INFORMATION<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The name of our range is &#8220;The Richard Losier Shooting Range&#8221;.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The use of the range is supplied courtesy of St. Isidore Asphalt Ltd and the Losier family. We sincerely appreciate their continued support.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The shooting range presently offers a 25m pistol range and a 100m rifle range.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The shooting range is open 7 days a week from sun up to sun down.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Regular shooting range operation is May &#8211; Nov<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>On November 15, the range is winterized. Reduced to two shooting stations per range<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The range is open in winter months but the access road is not maintained.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>MEMBERSHIP RATES<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Membership rates are for the current year only from December 01 to November 30<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>$100.00 for two family members (must have same civic address, second member must have a valid PAL)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>$75.00 for regular members, 22 to 65 years<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>$50.00 for seniors (age 65 by January 1st)&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>$50.00 for youth (18 to 22 years old)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Note: There is no charge for the children or grandchildren of a member who are under 18 years of age. <strong>CHILDREN MUST BE DIRECTLY SUPERVISED<\/strong> by the member.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>MEMBERSHIP REQUIREMENTS<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Members must be at least 18 years of age.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Must have a valid Federal firearms permit (Possession Only or Possession and Acquisition)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Members must fill out a membership application for each and every year to keep their documentation current (name, address, pal status, contacts).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>By law we are required to keep membership documentation and shooting logs for six (6) years.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>NB CHIEF FIREARMS OFFICER (CFO) REQUIREMENTS<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Your club membership card is your firearms TRANSPORTATION PERMIT which allows you to transport a firearm from your residence to a shooting range ONLY.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>New members&nbsp;must undergo a Safety Induction course with a club Range Safety Officer (RSO) prior to using the range. It is a Federal requirement.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The safety course takes approximately 30 minutes, and is provided on site at the range.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>During the safety course, members will learn our club safety procedures which is referred to as the &#8220;Green Card Safety System&#8221;.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Once members have completed the safety course, they will be issued a green Safety Card. The card has no expiry date, and must be visible at all times while using the range.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The club charges a $20.00&nbsp;fee for the safety course. This fee is used to pay transportation cost for a club RSO to give the induction.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>CLUB POLICIES<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><em>Only club members may use a firearm at the range.<\/em><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><em>Main gate must remain closed at all times.<\/em><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><em>Everyone must sign the log book, failure to do so will result in the immediate termination of your membership.<\/em><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><em>Last person to leave the site must ensure the main gate is closed &amp; locked.<\/em><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Steel targets must be approved by the CFO<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Pistol&nbsp;steel targets&nbsp;may only be used if no other members are present.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>All used field&nbsp;brass&nbsp;belongs to the club, you may only keep your own fired brass.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>DISCIPLINE POLICY<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>A member can be disciplined by a suspension or even life time suspension from the club for behaviour detrimental to the club.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>This includes safety violations, giving out the lock combination, behavioural issues, theft, vandalism and harassment either written or spoken and any other issues deemed detrimental to the club.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The case will be dealt with by the elected Directors, the decision to discipline a member must be unanimous by the 4 Directors.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The result will be kept confidential unless the sanctioned member decides otherwise.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>CLUB ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING (AGM)<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Our regular AGM&nbsp;is held on the 1st&nbsp;Sunday of December each year.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The meeting takes place at the Raoul Charest Community Room, 585 rue Principal, Beresford.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The start time of the meeting is 1:30pm.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li> You must have a valid membership card for the current year to attend.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Ce que tous les membres doivent savoir<\/p>","protected":false},"author":2,"featured_media":0,"comment_status":"closed","ping_status":"closed","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"pmpro_default_level":"","footnotes":""},"categories":[7],"tags":[13,12,14,11,16],"class_list":["post-369","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","hentry","category-info","tag-cfo","tag-handguns","tag-legal","tag-rules","tag-training","pmpro-has-access"],"_links":{"self":[{"href":"https:\/\/chaleurshootingclub.com\/fr_ca\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts\/369","targetHints":{"allow":["GET"]}}],"collection":[{"href":"https:\/\/chaleurshootingclub.com\/fr_ca\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts"}],"about":[{"href":"https:\/\/chaleurshootingclub.com\/fr_ca\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/types\/post"}],"author":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/chaleurshootingclub.com\/fr_ca\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/users\/2"}],"replies":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/chaleurshootingclub.com\/fr_ca\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/comments?post=369"}],"version-history":[{"count":10,"href":"https:\/\/chaleurshootingclub.com\/fr_ca\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts\/369\/revisions"}],"predecessor-version":[{"id":1016,"href":"https:\/\/chaleurshootingclub.com\/fr_ca\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts\/369\/revisions\/1016"}],"wp:attachment":[{"href":"https:\/\/chaleurshootingclub.com\/fr_ca\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media?parent=369"}],"wp:term":[{"taxonomy":"category","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/chaleurshootingclub.com\/fr_ca\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/categories?post=369"},{"taxonomy":"post_tag","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/chaleurshootingclub.com\/fr_ca\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/tags?post=369"}],"curies":[{"name":"wp","href":"https:\/\/api.w.org\/{rel}","templated":true}]}}
