RANGE RULES

  1. Main Gate must remain CLOSED at all times, yellow IN USE Sign Visible.
  2. Club Membership card must be visible at all times.
  3. ONLY CLUB MEMBERS MAY DISCHARGE A FIREARM. (New Jan 24-2024)
  4. Visitors are un-insured and cannot handle, use or discharge a firearm.
  5. Members & Visitors MUST sign the log book.
  6. You are responsible for your guest’s actions.
  7. Firearms must remain in a gun case at all times until you are inside the red firing line area.
  8. Hearing protection & safety glasses are now mandatory, new from CFO.
  9. No Trap or Skeet Activities, NO shotguns using bird shot pellets (slugs ONLY).
  10. All Metal Targets MUST be Pre-approved by the CFO.
  11. NO Exploding or Spinning or homemade targets (glass, steel, cement, rocks, etc.)
  12. NO alcohol, drug or cannabis use subject to life time ban.
  13. Range brass belong to club; you may only pick up only your own fired brass.
  14. LAST PERSON TO LEAVE must verify that the red shooting flag is down, yellow gate sign is put to NOT IN USE and MAIN GATE IS LOCKED.

SHOOTING SAFETY RULES

  1. The red flag must be raised up the flagpole when shooting.
  2. No one may enter the red firing line area if people are down range checking targets.
  3. Everyone must stay out of the red firing line area until the range is clear of people.
  4. All firearms must remain in a gun case at all times until you are inside the firing line area.
  5. Firearms can only be removed from their case when inside the red firing line area.
  6. Firearms must be pointed down range at all times, barrel must not break 45.
  7. Keep your finger off the trigger until you are ready to shoot.
  8. Keep to your shooting alley, targets directly in from of you.
  9. Choose proper target height so your bullets will hit the backstop berm.

    To change out targets:
  10. Before going downrange everyone must make their firearm safe.
  11. All firearms are pointed down range, empty of ammunition with the action open.
  12. Everyone must exit the red firing line and stay out.
  13. Before allowing people to go down range, one club member must act as safety officer, checking that all firearms are pointed down range, empty of ammunition, with the action opened and no one is in the red firing line area.
  14. Only then shooters allowed to go down range to change targets.
  15. When range is safe and clear of people down range, shooters are allowed to re enter the red firing line area to resume target shooting.

Remember: firearms must be put back in a gun case before leaving the red firing line area.
